Thank you to everyone for coming out to our Stair Workouts! We had beautiful weather for our last night. The workout was a challenging one but each of you can make it as hard or as comfortable as you need to.
You might remember that I like to divide the stairs into 5 Sections. This workout utilizes that same layout. You can also apply this workout to any set of stairs. Just divide up the stairs into sections and set your timer for 5 minutes. If you only have one set of stairs, simply reset your timer 5 times.
Walk to the top at your own pace
5-minutes - 5 Sections Challenge
Section 5 - For 5 minutes complete as many rounds as you can of the 4 flights in this Section. You can choose any step you like. Eg. single step, double step, jog, wide step, cross overs, high knees, etc.
Section 4 - As above for 5 minutes on 3 flights
Section 3 - As above for 5 minutes on 4 flights
Section 2 - As above for 5 minutes on 5 flights
Section 1 - As above for 5 minutes on 4 flights
To increase the challenge, try doing the 2nd or 3rd round in each Section as fast as you can! Use the downs for recovery and keep moving.
Note: A Round in each section includes, for example, the 3-5 flights down and up.
